November 4, New York Harbour – to work..to embody

It was 4:00 a.m and, in the context of the current “irregular migration crisis“, I was making an effort to feel what it might have been like to first see the Statue of Liberty as a refugee escaping persecution for being Jewish.

It wasn’t until I sat down with an elderly woman that my throat closed and a wave of emotion and gratitude broke over me – gosh….I be alive

In the light of the urgent global imperative to liberate ourselves from prejudice, ignorance, and scarcity-mentality, it felt good to sip on her whispered apologies.
